Rock the Red Kettle ATX Concert is an annual fundraiser benefiting The Salvation Army Austin's services for women, children and families. This year, we are moving the concert indoors at the new Junior League Community Impact Center. We hope you will join us for an incredible evening of more music, dinner, mission, auctions and all indoors!
This year’s event is more vital than ever as The Salvation Army works to open the new Rathgeber Center. This 212-bed shelter will serve families experiencing the crisis of homelessness in our community. With 100% housing focused case management, The Salvation Army will walk beside these families as they work to return to self-sufficiency.
With the need growing at an exponential pace, we are asking the community to rally to help us replenish our resources as we continue to tackle the tragic, but often forgotten problem of homelessness in the Austin community. Three out of four clients sheltered in Salvation Army emergency shelters are women and children. The crisis of family homelessness is an unnatural disaster, and we are working every day to help these families move from homelessness into improved employment and safe housing. Together, we can work to break the cycle of family homelessness in our community!
