Rock the Red Kettle ATX is an annual fundraiser benefiting The Salvation Army Austin's services for women and children. In 2017, following Hurricane Harvey, we rallied to help our fellow Texans in need and diverted precious resources to provide immediate and long-term disaster relief in the wake of the storm. This year, we are returning to our local roots and are asking the community to rally to help us replenish our resources as we continue to tackle the unnatural disaster of family homelessness. Three out of four clients sheltered in local Salvation Army emergency shelters are women and children. We are working every day to help these families move from crisis into improved employment and safe housing. Your support will help women and children who are experiencing homelessness as they work back toward self-sufficiency.
